Major Cineplex Ekkamai

Modern Complex with cinemas, bowling, restaurants, fast food outlets, and sporting stores.
SkyTrain to E7 Ekkamai Station (Sukhumvit Line). Take Exit 1 then straight ahead crossing Ekkamai Rd. and continue for 150m, Cineplex on your right.

Museum of Forensic
For something out of the ordinary, visit perhaps the most well known of ten different museums within this teaching hospital. Not for the squeamish. Includes preserved remains of famous criminals.

Crocodile Farm

Supposedly the largest crocodile farm in the world with over 50,000 reptiles. Frequent elephant & crocodile shows plus displays concerning the breeding of crocodiles. Also crocodile products & souvenirs available. Can be combined with visit to Ancient City.

Ancient City (Muang Boran)


Two hundred acre outdoor cultural theme park with well uted replicas (1/3 real size) of famous Thai monuments and buildings. Restored original structures and sculptures also on display. Park like grounds and quality of displays make visit worth-while especially for those interested in architecture.

Hindu Temple (Wat Khaek)
Founded by Tamils in the 1860's, this temple, recently renovated, is a riot of colorful Indian temple decorative arts The smell of incense and the sound of music permeates the grounds.

Thai Boxing (Lumpini Stadium)
Martial arts can be seen at two stadiums, Lumpini and Ratchadamnoen.
Matches start at 18.30 on Tuesday and Friday and 16.30 and 20.30 on Saturday.
Seating prices vary according to proximity to the ring, 1 Class 2,000 Baht and the other Class 1,500/1,000 Baht

Erawan Shrine
Popular with locals and visitors alike. Bhramin shrine is thought to bring good luck to those who pray and give offerings. For a fee, traditionally dressed dancers will perform 'thank you' dances for those experiencing recent good fortune.

SkyTrain to E1 Chit Lom Station (Sukhumvit Line). Take Exit 2 walk straight 100m to Ratchadamri intersection. Erawan shrine on left.

Dusit Zoo
Nineteen hectare zoological park originally a private botanical garden for King Rama V. Large collection of mammals, reptiles and birds. Grounds include a lake, with restaurants lakeside.

Queen Saowapha Memorial Institute & Snake Farm
Run by the Thai Red Cross, this facility is both entertaining and educational. Snake handling, feeding and venom extraction demonstrations, and an informative slide show.
are presented twice daily at 10.30 and 2.00 Monday - Friday and l0.30 on Saturday.
